Features for South African landlords
EasyLandLord keeps properties, units, tenants, and leases for South African landlords. Free covers those records. Paid plans start at R49 a month on Starter, and the platform never holds tenant rent.
Leases and documents
Every plan, including Free, stores properties, units, tenants, and leases, and can produce a South African lease PDF. Free includes 250 MB of document storage and one signup import session. That session can include properties, units, tenants, and leases, and it is used up when the landlord finishes it. Starter has the same session. Starter and above add e-signatures, lease renewals, rent escalation, and pro-rata rent.
Rent tracking and EFT reconciliation
Tenants pay by EFT into the landlord's own bank account. EasyLandLord never holds tenant money. The landlord stores their bank details, and each lease has a payment reference to put on the transfer. A bank statement can be uploaded as CSV and matched to those references. Payments can be recorded by hand on every plan. Starter and above can record a payment automatically from a matched line.
Invoices, arrears, and late fees
Starter and above raise invoices from the lease, track arrears, send reminders, and calculate late fees from the lease. They also include letters of demand, payment arrangements, statements, credit notes, and receipt emails. Free does not invoice or remind. Paystack is only for the landlord's subscription, not for tenant rent.
Tenant portal, maintenance, and deposits
Starter and above include a tenant portal, deposit records, maintenance requests, inspections, and a key register. A landlord invites the tenant. The tenant sees the lease, statements, maintenance, and the landlord's payment details. The vendor portal, for maintenance jobs, is on Growth and Pro.
Reports, screening records, and listings
Growth and Pro add reports, profit and loss, the accounting ledger, and CSV export. They also store screening reports the landlord uploads (provider, result, notes, and an optional PDF). EasyLandLord does not order a credit check from a bureau. The same plans include a property map, tenant reputation, levies, meter readings, public listings, inquiries, a tax pack, and ongoing bulk import. Growth includes 3 staff seats besides the owner. Pro includes unlimited staff seats. Free and Starter are the owner only. The owner is not a staff seat.
More than one company
Free, Starter, and Growth are one company. Pro adds multiple companies, an AI assistant in the landlord workspace, portfolio insights, and priority support. Priority support is not a phone line. There is no Enterprise plan and no white-label product.
POPIA
A landlord who loads a person's information is the responsible party for that person. EasyLandLord is the operator. Export and erasure are part of the product. Read the privacy notice and the PAIA manual.
